Terms for companies
Effective 10 October 2026
The rules for companies and organisations that use Zigex to find interns, run programs and host events.
The short version
- Publish only real opportunities, with honest details and any fee shown clearly. Zigex doesn't take payments.
- Use students' information only for their application and your opportunity. Never sell or share it.
- Treat applicants fairly, reply in reasonable time, and give interns the supervision you promised.
- We verify companies, and may remove opportunities or verification when these rules are broken.

1.About these terms
Zigex is run by SEED Inc, Mawa, Mile 6 Nkwen, Bamenda, Cameroon (“SEED”, “we”, “us”). These terms apply to companies and organisations (“you”) that use the Zigex company portal to publish opportunities, review applicants and supervise interns.
They add to the general Zigex Terms of Use, which also apply to you. By creating a company account you agree to both, and to our Privacy Policy for companies.
2.Who can open a company account
- A real company, organisation or institution, opened by someone allowed to act for it.
- The information you give us, including your company's name, address and registration details, must be accurate and kept up to date.
- One account per company. If several people need access, add them as supervisors rather than sharing one sign-in.
3.Your account and team
- Keep your password private. Each sign-in also asks for a code we email you; don't share those codes.
- You're responsible for what is done with your account, including by the supervisors you add.
- Only add as supervisors people who work with you and should see your interns' information. Remove them when they leave.
- If you think someone else has used your account, change your password and email [email protected] straight away.
4.Verification
We check companies before they get the “verified” mark that students see. We may ask for documents such as your registration certificate or tax number, and we may contact you to confirm details.
We can refuse or remove verification if the information is wrong, can't be confirmed, or the company breaks these terms.
5.Publishing opportunities
When you publish an internship, program or event, you agree to:
- Post only real opportunities you intend to run, with honest descriptions, dates, location and any fee shown clearly.
- Never charge students a fee that wasn't shown on the opportunity. Fees for programs are paid to you directly; Zigex doesn't take payments.
- Treat applicants fairly and respectfully, and not discriminate unlawfully.
- Reply to applications in a reasonable time, and keep application statuses up to date, so students aren't left waiting.
- Close or delete an opportunity once it's no longer available.
We may review, hide or remove opportunities that don't meet these rules.
6.Students' information
When students apply, you see their application, the documents they attach and how to contact them. You agree to:
- Use it only to review their application and to run the opportunity.
- Keep it secure, and let only the people who need it see it.
- Never sell it, share it with others, or use it for unrelated marketing.
- Delete copies you made outside Zigex (for example downloaded CVs) when you no longer need them for the opportunity.
You are responsible for how your company uses this information, under the laws that apply to you.
7.Interns and programs
- Give your interns a safe place to work, the supervision you promised, and the hours, stipend or fee shown on the opportunity.
- Read and answer logbook entries in good time; they count towards the student's learning.
- Use check-in tools (such as QR codes) only to record attendance at the workplace, not to follow interns elsewhere.
- For programs, publish the learning content you promised, and give participants who paid access to it.
8.Acceptable use
- Don't copy students' information out of Zigex in bulk, or use automated tools to collect it.
- Don't post misleading, offensive or unlawful content, or contact students about things unrelated to your opportunities.
- Don't try to get into accounts or parts of Zigex that aren't yours, or disrupt the service.
9.Suspending or closing accounts
You can ask us to close your company account at any time by emailing [email protected] from your sign-in email. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts students at risk, or is used for fraud. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond first.
10.Our responsibility
Zigex connects companies with students. You, not SEED, are responsible for the opportunities you publish, how you select applicants, and how you run internships, programs and events. We work to keep Zigex available and secure, but can't promise it will always be free of interruptions.
To the extent the law allows, SEED isn't liable for indirect losses arising from your use of Zigex, or for what students or other users do. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that can't be limited.
11.Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Cameroon. If you have a problem, please contact us first at [email protected]; most issues can be solved quickly. If we can't resolve it, the competent courts of Bamenda will decide.
12.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you by email or in the portal before it takes effect. Using Zigex after that means you accept the new terms.
